"I myself have reached the point where I cannot walk into a clothing store. I can't bring myself to do it. I can't justify to myself buying a new outfit just because I want it. I can't justify to myself spending unnecessarily. That is not to say that I pretend to be holier than anyone else. I may not eat meat or fish, but I still eat animal products, even though the thought disgusts me. The delusion is still there, I know what I'm doing but still can't take the plunge. It seems so insurmountable.”
