Artists: Þórhanna Inga

Þórhanna Inga was born and raised in Reykjavík but descends from farmers in the North of Iceland and fishermen from the East. When she was finishing her High School diploma at the Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík, she realised that she wanted to pursue her dreams and do something related to art. Her path led to the United States where she studied filmmaking at the Savannah College of Art and Design. There, Þórhanna not only made films, but she had the opportunity to learn more about all kinds of artistic creation, including drawing, painting, motion graphics and hand printing.

"I have been drawing since I can remember and I find nothing more fun than trying my hand at creativity. My style is always changing and I regularly try to do something new. It can be overwhelming and I often feel doubts when I start new creations, but I try to show confidence in myself and encourage myself because nothing happens if you don't dare to start. I take inspiration from everywhere; the nature, the stars, the people around me, the music, and you could count for a long time".
