My name is Mia and I'm from the Faroe Islands where I work as a graphic designer. I draw women in everyday situations on my Instagram (@mia.h.smith) – women showering, shaving their legs etc. to show women as human beings, instead of sexual objects.
In my illustrations, I focus on subjects like anxiety, depression, menstrual pain, endometriosis (and similar illnesses), same-sex relationships, self-love, slut shaming, sexual harassment and how our surroundings (e.g. the social media) have such high standards of beauty, that some women try to live up to.
